Zombie Apocaylpse RP (characters, introductions, etc)

Setting:

Present Day Manhattan. The RP will briefly start with the character's normal life and then progress quickly into the out break.

Rules:

Each roleplayer are only to have one character and have very little control over NPCs (i.e 'The zombie shuffled my way' etc.).

Survivors cannot directly kill other survivors, they may injure or trap. Likewise with the infected, you may kill, injure, trap the survivors but please do not do so instantly, perhaps the middle/end. Likewise with the survivors.

Once you have been killed that's it, you're out.

Each survivor will be assigned some kind of unique skill, but it must be relevant to the job/career you once had before the out break.

In example if your character was a engineer before the out break they are able to repair cars or anything of the like easily, or something to that sense.

We will begin two small groups, the survivors and infected.

Survivors will have 6-8 people within it.

The infected will have 3-4 people.

It is present day, so no fairy fantasy and humans are humans.

As for infected? If you were big and fat and slow in the living, you'll be big fat and slow as an infected. Kinda like L4D. But anyways.

Feel free to reserve posts, please no double posting, etc.

Until other characters are introduced, you may not interact.

It's obvious I used Rob's thing as a reference. Feeeh.

For infected and survivors, please don't feel weird about killing each other, I just need something to balance out the generic scenario of this role play, I mean it is a zombie apocalypse, so people need to die ._.;

The Story/Goal

Basically the survivors are heading out to Toronto, Canada where they over heard a radio broadcast announcing there is a safe point out there and begin to venture out to Toronto and trying to stay alive.

Description of character:
Short blonde hair, brown eyes, slightly more muscular than average build.

Background Information:
Dom moved to New York with his father and sister at the age of 14 after his mother died from illness. His father quickly succumbed to depression and Dom found himself trying to look after his sister, Amy, while they both watched their father drink. His father died three years later from alcohol poisoning, Dom was now 17 and having to look after his sister, who was 15. They had both settled well in the city and would rather stay than go back to their hometown to live with family and be reminded of their parents.
They managed to stay at a friends house until Dom went to college, at which time he and Amy lived in student accomodation while keeping a charade of her being another student living with him. They both got a job, Amy as a full time waitress and Dom as a delivery boy. Because of the high traffic in the area, and a combination of the distance to the college and the job he now had, Dom became skilled in parkour in order to save time on his journeys.
One year later, Amy was mugged and stabbed while working late, she has been in hospital for the past month making a slow recovery, and Dom pays visits to her whenever he can.

Unique skill (or advantage of infected): Very flexible, slightly above-average strength and stamina.

Job/Career before out break: Male 'dancer'/student

Tools/Equipment: .18 Derringer

Description of character (or picture): Somewhat short, thick build. Red-tinted hair of short-medium length. Brown eyes. Hides a caring personality under an abrasive one. He likes to keep things professional, considering. Stubborn and opinionated.

Background Information: It was to pay for college. It seriously was. Kurt honestly wasn't proud of what he did, but those gymnastics lessons his mother had forced him to attend left him with an almost freakish flexibility. Even if his work was distasteful, it paid well. Upon rumors of a strange new disease, he canceled all of his 'appointments' and visited a clinic, out of concern he'd contracted it. Well, he would have gotten tested if the doctor had stopped trying to bite him. Kurt shot him in self-defense. Now his brains were splattered onto the white walls and he was laying low at his apartment. Once again, he checked to make sure his Derringer was safely hidden (as it always was) before pushing his front door open and heading outside into the dimly-lit corridor.

Unique skill (or advantage of infected): Quick to debunk a situation, solve a problem or puzzle in half the time it took most of his peers. Also quick to fix up a wound and jury rig medical supplies

Job/Career before out break (No need to do this if infected...): Diagnostic Specialist

Tools/Equipment (No need to do this if you're infected): Pain Killers, scalpal, needle full of seditive and a roll of medical tape.

Description of character (or picture): 5'7" medium length titanium colored hair (dyed it out of eccentricity), hazel/grey eyes, clean shaven, prefers to wear street clothes but puts on a lab coat over his "Arch" Enemy shirt.

Background Information: Clark is a rather cynical individual treats everyone like crap to an extent knowing he's intelligent. But he's miserable. He has a quick retort for every insult, even the over elaborate hidden insults that people of "Average" intelligence can't grasp. He also strikes people where they're most vulnerable. This attitude of his however has gotten him fired more times than most people can bear to comprehend. He is currently treating a stab wound patient whose name he could care less about due to the short amount of staff where everyone's on vacation.

Unique skill: Can easily record evidence.

Job/Career before out break: Small time camera-woman for the local news station.

Tools/Equipment: Camera, tripod, back pack, and other camera equipment.

Description of character: Short brown hair, light blue eyes, average build, 5'6".

Background Information: Andrea was born and raised in Manhattan, where she gained her interests in film, literature, and other art. At the age of 18, after graduating, she began to attend film school. At 24 she graduated and began small as a part time camera man for the local news station. Luckily, she wasn't around for the enormous out break in the core of the city.
